These four lipids are the structural components of a healthy skin barrier — not added individually for marketing, but combined in a ratio that reflects how a functioning barrier is actually built. Ceramide NP is the most abundant ceramide in skin. Cholesterol regulates fluidity. Phytosphingosine is a ceramide precursor with anti-inflammatory properties. Barrier strengthening from within
Niacinamide supports the production of ceramides and other barrier lipids from within the skin — so Palo Duro is both depositing barrier components externally and triggering the skin to build more of its own. Also reduces inflammation, evens skin tone, and improves the appearance of pores over consistent use.

Tripeptide-29
Collagen signaling
Mimics the structure of procollagen to signal fibroblasts to build new collagen — in a cream base that allows longer skin contact and deeper saturation than a serum. Consistent daily use builds cumulative structural support over months.

Tocopherol
Antioxidant barrier protection
Vitamin E in its most bioavailable form. Protects the barrier lipids — including the ceramides in the complex — from oxidative breakdown caused by UV exposure and environmental stress. A repaired barrier is only as durable as its protection from the things that damaged it in the first place.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride + Jojoba Esters
Skin-compatible emollience
The oils and wax esters that give Palo Duro its texture. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a lightweight coconut-derived oil that absorbs cleanly. Jojoba Esters closely mimic the skin's own sebum — spreading evenly and sealing without occluding. The result is a cream that feels substantial but disappears within minutes.

Barrier repair + soothing
Provitamin B5 — converts to pantothenic acid in the skin where it accelerates barrier repair, reduces redness, and improves moisture retention. One of the most well-tolerated actives in skincare and a consistent performer in barrier recovery formulas.

Glycerin + Hydrogenated Lecithin
Moisture bridge
Glycerin draws water into the skin. Hydrogenated Lecithin — a phospholipid — delivers it through the lipid bilayers of the barrier in a form the skin recognizes. Together they ensure the ceramide complex is applied into well-hydrated tissue where it integrates most effectively.

Apply your serum — Laguna Madre, Trinity, JSC, or whichever is right for your morning — then apply Palo Duro on top. The cream seals the actives in and gives the barrier what it needs to stay intact while everything underneath does its work.
In the evening, the same principle applies under Caddo. Copper peptides repair best when moisture is locked in overnight. Palo Duro does that sealing at every step, morning and evening.
How to use it
Always last
Palo Duro goes on after every serum, every time. Water-based serums first, then the cream. It seals everything underneath and creates the barrier environment where actives work best.
Amount
1–3 pumps depending on your skin's needs. Apply to slightly damp skin and massage gently until absorbed. It should disappear within a minute — if it sits on the surface, you've used too much.
Morning
After your AM serum, before SPF. Palo Duro is lightweight enough to layer under sunscreen without pilling or heaviness.
Evening
After Caddo or any PM serum.
The ceramide complex and barrier lipids do their deepest repair overnight.
Damp skin makes a difference
Apply Palo Duro to slightly damp skin. The glycerin and hydrogenated lecithin in the formula bind to available moisture at application — on damp skin they have more to work with, and the barrier integration is more effective. Pat dry after cleansing but don't wait until your skin is completely dry.
What to expect
Palo Duro is a rich cream that absorbs cleanly — not a lightweight lotion, not a heavy balm. It will feel substantial on application and then largely disappear within a minute. If your skin is very dry or compromised, it may take slightly longer to absorb in the first week as the barrier rebuilds. That absorption time shortens with consistent use.

Ceramides, phospholipids, and the fatty acids in Palo Duro are sensitive to oxidation over time. The Tocopherol in the formula protects them — but not indefinitely in long-stored product.
